Headlines To Speech is a simple and lightweight software made just for Windows 8.1 devices. Its main job? Reading out news headlines for you!

Simple User Interface

The app has a very basic look, nothing fancy at all. When you open it, you’ll see the latest news from different sources right in the main window.

Choose Your Preferences

You also get two menus called ‘Country’ and ‘Language’. These let you set how you want the news to be read aloud. Once you make your choices, just hit ‘Play’ and enjoy!

Get News from Around the World

This tool can pull in news from lots of countries like the USA, Australia, France, Canada, Spain, the UK, Germany, China, India, Poland, Switzerland, and more! It’s pretty cool to have such variety.

Multiple News Sources

Even though it gets updates from well-known places like CNN and Reuters, there’s a catch: you can’t pick just one source to display headlines from. You also can’t add your own custom feed.

Select Your Language

When it comes to languages spoken by this software, you've got options like English, French, Italian, Spanish, German and others! But keep in mind that you can't choose Microsoft Voice or change how fast or loud it reads.

If something catches your eye in the headlines, you can click on it to see the full article in your browser. However, Headlines To Speech won't read those articles for you. Plus if you're working on something else and don’t have the app open front-and-center? You won’t hear any news either.

All in all, Headlines To Speech is useful but has some limits when it comes to features. While it's a handy way to listen to news headlines on Windows 8.1 devices, it's clear that it needs more features to stand out compared to other text-to-speech software available today.
