Hex2ASCII is a tiny piece of software that enables you to convert strings of source code to Hexidecimal, binary or ASCII and vice versa.

The program comes with a bare-bones and minimalistic interface, as it consists of a small window with two dedicated panels that enable you to add the input and output of the code. In spite of the fact that the UI is not exactly eye-candy, you should know that it is fairly appropriate for an application in this category.

Then again, it would have been nice if the utility had a larger window and came with several other features, such as a history that includes the entries log, for instance. A log along with a search function would surely be appreciated by programmers who need to switch between Hex and ASCII when working on their codes.

To be more precise, you can add the desired string of code and specify whether it is Hex, ASCII or Binary. Afterwards, you can specify the format that you want to convert to and the application the rest. In fact, the app does the conversion automatically while you are typing in the code.

It is important to note that you are required to select the new string and copy it to the third-party software you are working with. It would have been helpful if the application enabled you to copy to clipboard, especially if you are using a utility capable of registering multiple entries. Moreover, it would be useful if it included a clear-all feature, so you can delete everything you typed in one go.

Even though it is not the best-looking application out there, Hex2ASCII is a reliable application that can lend you a hand with your coding projects, while saving you a lot of time and energy.
