Hide Computer is a very simple command-line utility that can help you become anonymous on the local network by masking your machine's visibility. Although it does not come with a graphical interface, the program is extremely easy to work with, thanks to clear-cut commands displayed in a console window.

There is no setup pack involved, so the software app does not modify Windows registry settings or create additional files on the disk, thus leaving no traces behind after after its removal. All you have to do is call Hide Computer's process from a Command Prompt dialog after examining the guidelines on supported commands.

Apart from hiding the computer on the network, it is possible to make it visible again, as well as to view the current visibility status. There are no other options available, aside from the fact that the help screen can be shown at any time.

Changes are immediately applied and they remain valid even after exiting the program. As expected, CPU and RAM consumption was minimal in our tests, so Hide Computer does not affect the overall performance of the workstation. Although it does not contain comprehensive features, Hide Computer can be a great addition to anyone looking to restrict other users' access to their own computer via LAN.
