Hoppa FOR MAC

Hoppa is a simplistic arcade game in which your goal is to bounce a multi-colored ball as many times as possible by matching its hue to that of the cube under your control. The mechanics are certainly not complex, and you can get the hang of things in no time, but surviving past the first dozen or so bounces very difficult indeed.

The bouncing ball changes color whenever it reaches its apex, and you must pay close attention to ensure you are not caught by surprise.

The cube is rotated with the arrow keys, the UP/DOWN keys controlling one axis of movement, while the LEFT/RIGHT keys control the other.

Because of the perspective, you can only see two sides of the cube at any given time, so you must use that information to figure out how to rotate it next.

At first, rotating the cube quickly enough is not that tricky, but the ball’s speed increases after every few bounces, making this task a lot more difficult.

You have to try and memorize the position of each of the cube’s colored sides, as you will not have enough time to find them after the first few bounces.

Your only goal in Hoppa is to get as many bounces as possible and improve your previous high score. No new mechanics are introduced at any time, other that the increased speed.

Because of this, you will probably lose interest in the game quite quickly, unless you challenge a friend to see who can get the best score.

Hoppa is an entertaining game that is very easy to grasp, if a lot more difficult to master. It will not hold your interest for very long, however, as the mechanics remain virtually the same no matter how long you manage to survive.
