Hostr

Hostr is a super handy file sharing program that lets you upload stuff to your cloud account really fast. You can store files in the cloud and grab the URL without even opening your browser! Plus, it lets you take custom-sized screenshots and upload them right away.

Creating Your Account

To get started with Hostr, you’ll need to create an account where you can keep all your files for sharing. This software makes sure your uploads are quick, easy to access, and safe. You can share all kinds of files—pictures, music, documents, archives—you name it! Just open up the desktop app, drag and drop your files into it, and you're good to go!

Easy Uploading Process

The upload kicks off immediately, and you can track how long it takes with a progress bar. Once it's done, you can snag the URL for that specific file by copying it to your clipboard. When you open Hostr's main screen, you'll see some of your latest uploads displayed there. If you want to change how many files show up on the list, just head over to the Settings tab.

Sharing Screenshots

If you're looking to share what’s happening on your desktop with friends online, Hostr has got your back! You can use its desktop capturing feature to snap custom-sized screenshots and send them straight to the cloud. Just pick the command from the top ribbon and adjust the size by dragging from the corner of the frame.

Selecting Active Windows

You also have an option to capture a screenshot of a selected active window. This is super useful if you want to share something specific from an app. As soon as you take those screenshots, they automatically get uploaded to the cloud!

Sharing Files Made Easy

With Hostr, uploading files to your cloud account is a breeze! Then, when it's time to share them online with others, just copy that URL right after uploading—it’s ready for emails or messages! You can send all sorts of files or even fresh screenshots you've just captured. And yes, you can save those images under custom names in formats like .PNG, .JPG, .BMP, or .GIF.
