Howard is a handy little app that helps you keep track of multiple email accounts without the fuss of a full desktop client. If you’ve got a bunch of emails to check, this app gives you notifications whenever a new message comes in. It also lets you open your email services right in your default web browser or launch Mail and Outlook applications.

Email Notifications Made Easy

When you first open Howard, it’ll ask you to connect your Microsoft email account. But don't worry! You can also set it up to check your Gmail or Yahoo accounts through the app’s preferences.

Switching Accounts is Simple

If you ever need to change the accounts Howard is monitoring, it's super easy! The app will pop up an authorization window for each service where you'll just need to enter your credentials.

IMAP Monitoring Features

Howard doesn’t stop there; it can monitor IMAP accounts too! It even has preset server configurations which make setting things up a breeze. You get default IMAP server addresses for popular services like Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo, and GMX along with their port numbers.

Your Email Status at a Glance

You can see how many unread messages are waiting for you from the Howard status bar menulet. All your configured emails show up in one line, letting you click to open them all in your browser with just one mouse click!

No Unread Count for Apps

Even though Howard can open Mail and Outlook applications for you, keep in mind that it won’t show how many unread messages are there in those apps.

Customize Your Experience

You can set Howard to start automatically when you log in. Plus, adjust how often it refreshes (from every 30 seconds to every 120 minutes) and pick an audio alert sound for when new emails come in.
