Html2Text

Html2Text is a small-sized and portable software application that enables you to quickly create plain text documents (TXT format) from HTML web pages, without configuring additional settings.

The portability factor means that Html2Text can be placed anywhere on the hard disk, from where you just have to click its executable to run.

There is also the possibility of saving Html2Text to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, to be able to run it on any PC with minimum effort and no previous installers.

An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no additional files are created on the disk without your approval.

The interface is simple, made from a single window with a familiar structure. HTML pages can be added to the list using either the file browser, folder view or drag-and-drop support.

Batch processing is possible, meaning that you can work with multiple items at once to reduce overall task time. Shown information includes the full path for the HTML and TXT files, respectively.

All you have to do is establish the output directory and click a button to start conversion. What's worth mentioning is that only the highlighted files will be processed. Html2Text overwrites files with the same names. There are no other notable features available.

The tool executes commands rapidly while using low CPU and RAM, so it has minimal impact on PC performance. There were no types of issues throughout our evaluation, since the app did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs.

Although it is not feature-rich, Html2Text offers a simple way for turning HTML into TXT format in single or batch mode, which makes it appealing to anyone looking for a straightforward utility.
