IBM Drivers Update Utility

IBM Drivers Update Utility is a very simple-to-use piece of software designed to automatically scan the computer for outdated drivers, providing users with simple methods to bring them up to date within just a few clicks.

It does not come equipped with rich features or configuration settings, making it accessible to all types of users, even those less experienced with such apps.

The setup procedure does not take a long time to complete. The main application window has an intuitive look with a neatly organized structure, where you can ask the utility to scan for drivers for the sound card, webcam, network adapter, USB, router, printer, wireless, chipset, monitor, and other devices.

The scan job is carried out pretty fast and shows results regarding the current and available update for each driver. It offers to download and install these missing updates rapidly, so that you can restore stability to your machine as soon as possible.

Before doing so, however, it is possible to back up the current drivers to file and restore them later in case any Windows stability issues occur. The program can also include hidden devices in the scan, shut down the PC once all downloads are completed, and more.

We have not found any problems in our tests, thanks to the fact that IBM Drivers Update Utility did not hang, crash or pop up error notifications. It does not put a strain on PC performance, since it used low CPU and RAM. On the other hand, the free edition of IBM Drivers Update Utility is pretty limited and its full features cannot be properly tested.
