IE Privacy Keeper

IE Privacy Keeper is a program that can delete your tracks in web browsers and the system.

The interface of the tool is based on a standard window in which you can access several tabs - "Internet Explorer", "Firefox", "System", "Files", "Registry" and "Options".

IE Privacy Keeper can clean temporary Internet files, browsing history, auto complete values, typed URLs, cookies, the folder for downloads, saved passwords and the download manager history.

But it can also remove items from Windows temporary files and open/save history, prefetch folder, Run history, Recent Documents, search auto complete, Recycle Bin, start menu programs list, Flash cookies and clipboard.

IE Privacy Keeper can look into the recent file lists of Windows Media Player, ACD See, Acrobat Reader, WinZIP, WinRAR, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications.

Moreover, you can add your own files and folders to be cleaned up (e.g. delete, empty, fill with zeros). You can securely delete them, send them to Recycle Bin, enable exceptions and to process subfolders, and more. Last but not least, you can add a registry key or value to delete, as well as access Registry Editor.

In "Options" you can configure auto cleanup settings (e.g. cleanup at system shutdown or startup), notifications, locations (e.g. for the Firefox profiles folder) and others (e.g. automatically close the log window), as well as view the latest cleanup log.

The software uses a very low amount of system resources and can guide you to a brief online help file. We haven't encountered any problems during our tests. The scanning and deletion task is quickly performed. Putting aside the plain interface and short list of applications that IE Privacy Keeper can look into, we strongly recommend it to all users.
