iKout

iKout is a fun macOS app that lets you play Kout Bo, a card game loved in Kuwait, especially during Ramadan. You can challenge your friends or go head-to-head with the computer!

How to Play Kout Bo

To get started with Kout Bo 6, you'll need two teams with at least three players each. If you can't find enough real players, no worries! You can add computer characters to fill in the gaps. The game uses a standard deck of 52 cards plus one black and one red Joker.

Bidding and Card Dealing

Each player gets dealt 9 cards to kick things off. Then the bidding starts moving counterclockwise from the dealer's right side. The last player with the highest bid gets to declare the trump card.

Understanding Trump Cards

This is where things get interesting! The trump card affects how cards rank during the game. So, if you have the red Joker, you're golden—it's the highest card! Next up is the Ace of Trump, followed by the black Joker, then other trump suits. Usually, a 2 is your lowest card while Aces are on top.

The Aim of Kout

Your goal in Kout is to rack up as many “trick” points as possible by playing higher-ranked cards than your opponents. A round ends when someone wins or loses their bid because their team can’t play a higher card.
