Encryption helps keep your files away from prying eyes and is an option for those looking for added security and peace of mind. Nowadays, you can encrypt entire drives, so locking down a few files should be relatively easy to do in comparison.

It's likely that you've come across tools able to encrypt all manner of files, so images and documents shouldn't pose a problem. Image Lock PEA is a little bit more interesting in that regard, as it's an encryption tool that was purpose-built to enable users to lock down any of their photos and documents.

The program sports an interface that can perhaps best be described as utilitarian. What you see is what you get, and to get straight to the point, you'll initially have to create a password via the Initialization menu. After that, you'll be able to select the photos and documents you wish to secure.

Once selected, the photos to be encrypted will be previewed through a slideshow on the interface. Keep in mind that documents cannot be directly imported, however: the first have to be converted into images, which can be done via the Convert option under the Extras dropdown.

Though the default configuration should likely be fine for most uses, those who prefer customizing their own way can do so through the Security settings menu. This way, you'll be able to set the encryption cipher, as well as the hash and key derivation functions. Some additional advanced settings, where users can select their desired encryption instance, are likewise available.

Much like other Peafactory software, cloud support is also featured, meaning that users can save their encrypted data to a cloud provider for easier access.

Image Lock PEA is a rather to-the-point tool. It's relatively easy to use, but provides sufficient options for advanced users to dabble in, and though its encryption functionalities only extend to images and documents, it should handle those tasks without any trouble.
