There are many users who rely almost exclusively on their keyboard when working on their computer, and Indigrid is one of the mind mapping applications especially created for them.
Indigrid is a nifty application that can help you focus more on your ideas than on organizing them. The GUI is as intuitive as it can be, and the fact that all actions can be performed using only hotkeys means that you can save a lot of time.
You can start by creating a new entry, assigning it a name, then toying around with the functions displayed in the lower section of the UI: new line, edit, delete, indent, outdent, open in column to left or right, filter.
Depending on your necessities, you can work either in the normal mode or the editing one.
The normal mode of Indigrid is the default one where you can view and explore your created notes and sub-notes, collapse and expand them, as well as move items to other groups via drag and drop or the dedicated hotkeys.
The editing mode comes in handy when you want to modify the contents of an individual note, and Indigrid will behave like a typical text editor.
The keyboard-centered approach is bound to impress a lot of users, especially since the hotkeys are neatly displayed within the main window. On the downside, they cannot be customized so even if you do not need to learn them by heart right away, you will eventually need to.
Despite its detailed Help guide, a few sample tasks would surely be more efficient in getting users accustomed with Indigrid's functions, lest they overlook a feature they would really need.
Indigrid is a handy app for mind mapping ideas so your thoughts no longer slip away.
