Inside Job is a free and open-source application for Mac OS X that lets you tweak the alpha inventory in the super popular game Minecraft. It's pretty awesome for anyone who loves to customize their gaming experience!

This app comes with a neat Cocoa interface, making it really easy to use. One fun feature is the experimental ability to change the time of day in your Minecraft world. You can also search through item lists by either item number or name, which saves a lot of time when you're looking for specific things.

Edit Your Inventory with Ease

The drag-and-drop inventory editing is super handy! You can see item images while you work, so it’s easy to know what you're adding or moving around. Just keep in mind that this app interacts with Minecraft's level.dat files found in your ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/saves/World folder. Make sure you back up your Minecraft data before using Inside Job; there's always a chance something could go wrong, and we don’t want to lose your hard-earned progress!

How to Use Inside Job Safely

Before diving into Inside Job, make sure you've exited any Minecraft worlds you're playing. Once you open the app, you'll be able to see the inventory from your first world right away. The keyboard shortcuts Command 1 through 5 help you flip between different world inventories easily.

Your Inventory at a Glance

The main window shows all your available items at a glance, making it easy to manage everything. You can add items directly from the list on the right into any slot in your inventory. Plus, rearranging items is as simple as dragging them into other empty slots! If you want to copy items, just hold down the CMD key while dragging them around.
