Internet Kill Switch

Internet Kill Switch is a small software application whose purpose is to help you activate or deactivate your connection to the Internet using a set of straightforward actions. It can be deployed on all Windows versions out there.

This is a portable program which can be stored on USB flash drives or other portable devices so you can have it with you all the time. You may run it without administrative privileges. Gaining access to its features requires only opening the executable file because there’s no setup included in the process.

No settings files and registry entries are left on the host computer so you can get rid of it using a quick deletion task.

You are welcomed by an intuitive design that embeds all configuration settings into a single window. There’s no support for a help manual but you can manage to set up the dedicated parameters on your own because they look highly intuitive.

Internet Kill Switch simplifies the entire process to a child’s play. You are given the possibility to enable or disable your Local Area Connection with a simple click. It can be particularly useful especially when you want to block access to your network or leave conversions.

The simple feature package can be decoded in the less than a few seconds. However, the application has not been updates for a while so you may bump into compatibility issues especially on newer operating systems. We have tested it on Windows 8.1 Pro and noticed that it is not capable of automatically toggling the Local Area Connection status although it displayed a successful notification message in the GUI.

To sum things up, Internet Kill Switch has to offer nothing more than a basic suite of features for helping turn on or off the connection to the Internet, and can be configured by rookies and professionals alike. However, it still needs functionality improvements.
