Watermarking your work can prove to be useful in a number of situations, and while some might see it as a way to prevent digital theft, others view it as a means of self-promotion. This is especially relevant for photographers.
Either way, a tastefully-placed, nice-looking watermark shouldn't take away from a photo. If you're looking to start watermarking your stills, then iWatermark Pro 2 is a software proposition you might want to consider. It features several customizable watermark presets, photo filtering and resizing options, and other useful functions to help you work on your images more efficiently.
While a more generalist photo editing tool will provide you with the means to watermark your photos, a dedicated tool should ideally provide you with more granular control over the process. Being easy to use, yet still being versatile enough to respond to different types of users' demands helps, and this solution is sufficiently outfitted to do so.
The program is rather intuitive with its interface. Watermarking is the central focus, as you'll be able to start adding watermarks to your images right away. Several presets are available for you to use, and you can modify them to your liking. Modify their color, position, opacity, orientation, font, and so on — depending on the type of watermark used, of course.
From more conventional text and graphics watermarks, to QR codes, metadata, and banners, there's quite the variety for you to ensure that a watermark jives with your stills. There's also a proprietary StegoMark option, which embeds any information you wish into the image, making it the most inconspicuous way to prevent intellectual property theft.
Aside from the watermarking functionalities, the tool also provides ways for users to organize and work on their photo collection more efficiently. Filter allows you to filter your stills' attributes, while also providing metadata and keyword filtering capabilities, while Rename is a robust tool to make your photo library more orderly.
Watermarked photos will have their metadata carried over, but it's possible to freely add or remove any data you wish via the IPTC function.
Image thumbnails can also be worked on, and this involves being able to create thumbnails for your images. You're free to select the desired width, height, and format of your thumbnails. Once you're done (and satisfied) with everything, you can look to export your images, where users are able to apply various auto-enhancement filters: red-eye correction, tone curve, face balance are some of the available options, among others.
iWatermark Pro 2 is well-equipped to handle watermarking duties without fault. The additional features to help users work with their photos are nice to have, too.
