With a pretty awesome name to make it stand out from other programs of its type, JackTheVideoRipper was developed to help you download video and audio content from YouTube and other streaming services.

Should you want to save video files locally, you can still enjoy them in the same quality as on the internet, as it is not limited to a certain resolution.

You just need to locate the video or audio content that you wish to download and copy its URL address into the application. After this, it will automatically detect the content you are trying to download. You just need to press the button and the program will save it on your PC.

If you have more than one file you would wish to download, then you can do them all at the same time. Using the "batch" feature, you can copy multiple URL addresses into the field and the application will begin to download all of them.

Although it is a good program with features that a lot of people are looking for these days, it does have a few flaws of its own. For starters, it is a bit buggy when trying to download audio content, displaying an "error" message at the end with no explanation of what went wrong.

Aside from this, you cannot remove the files you have downloaded from the list. You cannot make only one of them disappear, as they don't have an option to be removed. What you can do is close and re-open the application, but this will remove all of them.

It still is good for downloading videos and the process of doing so is fairly simple. However, it only does half of what it is supposed to, which leaves it behind other programs that were developed for the same purposes.
