Jar of Marbles is an entertaining Mac OS X “match 3” game that allows you to play with jars of marbles, instead of a grid of jewels or rolling balls. The goal is to drag and drop marbles on at least 2 marbles of the same kind, which vanishes them, until the whole the jar has been emptied.

The game features a physics based engine; therefore, the marbles will be pushed to the center if the bowl has a convex bottom. The marble you can control appears above the jar and the rest are randomly gathered inside the bowl. Various types of jars are available, both large and small.

Jar of Marbles can be played in 3 different modes: “Clear the Jar”, “Race the Clock” and “Freestyle”. The first 2 require that you to give it all because you must clear the marbles as fast as possible and pop as many marbles as you can in a predefined amount of time.

In the third mode, “Freestyle”, you can play as much as you want because the marbles will never run out. What’s more, you are able to toggle an optional laser pointer, view detailed statistics about your gameplay and play the game in multiple languages, such as English, French or German.

For the most part, Jar of Marbles is a rock solid game about matching 3 or more identical marbles in a jar. The gameplay, beautiful graphics, realistic physics engine and serene atmosphere help deliver a great gaming experience to any user.
