Those who are involved into creating and managing automated system tests might require a tool that could help them run their automation scripts. JSystem was developed as an assistant for users that need to create and run test scenarios without tampering the actual code lines. It will provide them with a platform that offers a central framework for most distributed and complex testing environments, which translates into better central management and project overview.
The application carries a clean layout that features two main sections, one for listing the loaded test scripts and the second for visualizing their internal structure. One will be able to update the names and descriptions for the loaded scripts, add comments or rank them accordingly.
Several on-screen commands offer testing control, with features for running, pausing or stopping the testing sequence. Users can also repeat the testing sequence or freeze it when fails occur. Access to several predefined XML files is provided and people can save the failed sequence if required.
Users will be able to browse several different tabs that provide various views for the loaded test scripts. The main testing tree will enable them to browse the tree structure of the tests, with collapsible items, the reporter tab will display a detailed event log and the test info tab general information about the testing run.
Experienced users will benefit from an extensive JAR files list and the application does provide a dedicated module for executing multiple scenarios. Customizable project path and execution behavior is provided, allowing one to tailor the testing sequence to the preferred requirements.
This application addresses those who need a tool for handling automation as a structured software environment. It will provide them with the necessary features for defining their custom test scenarios, run them in multiple execution states or achieve scalability thanks to its pre-written test leverage. Featuring support for plug-ins such as Eclipse, it will offer people the chance to accelerate the development workflow.
