How It Works

Once you’ve locked a folder, it disappears from any file opening window, meaning it won’t show up in Windows Explorer either! The program also alters the memory value of that path, keeping users from accessing its actual contents—even if they somehow find out about the folder.

Unlocking Your Folders

The cool part? If you ever need to access those files again, Keep Out lets you restore the folders back to normal whenever you want! Once encrypted, just look for your folder in Keep Out’s drop-down menu. Select it and hit the open padlock button to unlock it.
