Ken's Icons is a cool set of icons that brings the classic feel of Ken's Amiga icons right to your GNOME desktop environment. If you’re looking to spice up your desktop, this is a fun way to do it!
Getting started with Ken's Icons is super easy! Just follow these simple steps:
GNOME is a big project aimed at creating an entire desktop environment from free software. Basically, it’s all about making the graphical user interface (GUI) that sits on top of your computer’s operating system. This includes lots of stuff like development frameworks, picking out application software for users, and managing how apps launch and handle files.
This project is part of the GNU Project and works great with different Unix-like operating systems, especially Linux. It's also part of the Java Desktop System in Solaris if you're into that!
The name originally stood for GNU Network Object Model Environment, but we just call it GNOME now! They really focus on keeping things simple and user-friendly so everything “just works.” If you want more info or want to download Ken's Icons, check out their page!
