KeyFreeze

KeyFreeze is a lightweight and simple-to-use application designed with a single goal in mind: to block the keyboard and mouse activity without actually locking the screen. This way, you will be able to play movies or listen to different songs.

The user-interface is really plain and displays only a single button in the primary panel, namely “Lock Keyboard & Mouse.” Unfortunately, you cannot select to lock just the keyboard or just the mouse; and once you have enabled the locking mode, both devices will be locked.

In order to roll back the changes, you are required to hit the “CTRL+ALT+DEL” combination keys on the keyboard. The main window is minimalist, and since it doesn’t require much computer knowledge to work with this tool, even a rookie can make the most out of this application.

During our testing we have noticed that the program is able to accomplish a task pretty quickly and without errors throughout the entire process. As it would be expected from such a small utility, it manages to remain light on the system resources, so it doesn’t affect the overall performance of the computer.

All things considered, KeyFreeze proves to lock the keyboard and mouse activity in the easiest way possible, as it only relies on a single button for carrying out this task. Compared to other similar apps, it’s easy to work with such a tool, since there aren’t any configuration settings and, for this reason, KeyFreeze may become an ideal tool even for less experienced users.
