Lalim PowerPoint Image Recovery

Lalim PowerPoint Image Recovery is a free and portable tool designed to extract images from Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and save them as JPEG files.

It doesn't include complicated options or configuration settings, so it can be handled even by users with no previous experience in similar software. The program offers support for PowerPoint presentations (.ppt) and templates (.pps), as well as Microsoft Office 97, 2000, 2003 and XP.

There is no setup pack involved, so you can drop the downloaded .exe file anywhere on the hard disk or copy it to a removable storage unit, and just double-click it to run Lalim PowerPoint Image Recovery on any PC with minimum effort. It doesn't need libraries or other components to run, create files on the disk without permission, or change system registry settings.

Concerning the interface, the app adopts a small window with a straightforward look that shouldn't impose any difficulties. PowerPoint presentations and templates can be opened with the help of the file browser.

Otherwise, you can drop an entire directory in the main panel to extract JPEGs from all files at the same time, thanks to the fact that batch processing is supported. During the task, you can examine statistics.

It didn't put a strain on the overall performance of the machine in our tests, since it needed a low amount of system resources to work properly. No error dialogs popped up on newer Windows editions and it didn't hang or crash.

However, it failed it its attempt to extract images in several cases, remaining in "processing..." mode (as indicated by the status details). Lalim PowerPoint Image Recovery hasn't received updates for a long time and doesn't support newer Office versions or the PPTX or PPTM filetypes.
