LanTopolog Portable

LanTopolog Portable is a software tool that can be used in order to scan the network of any computer and create a topology map based on the SNMP.

This is the portable counterpart of LanTopolog and thus, the installation process is not a must. The Windows registry is not going to be updated with new entries, and upon its removal you will find no trace of it on the hard drive.

It is also noteworthy that if you copy the program files to an external data device, such as a USB flash drive, you can run LanTopolog Portable on any machine you have been granted access to.

The interface is pretty simple and straightforward, and it is built with several tabs, so that you can access all the available options with great ease. Moreover, it contains a menu bar and a few buttons. It becomes apparent that it is accessible to all types of users, even those with little to no experience with computers.

This software utility enables you to import data from ARP files or others that contains at least one column containing MAC addresses, as well as manually add an IP range, so as to discover all switches available.

You can check up to ten ports, so as to display their traffic view logs or clear them, discover topology, customize it and open it in your default browser. Alarms can be set to play a sound, execute a program or script, or send an e-mail message when a user-defined minimum number/percent of computers stop responding.
