Since there is a computer on nearly any desk, various text editing applications are available to make document management and writing easier. LedIt is one of them, giving you the possibility to work in a user friendly environment.

The application is a straightforward text editor with a generous workspace is put at your disposal. The upper toolbar lets you change the text font and its size, make it bold, italic as well as underlining it. A color palette can be used to emphasize parts of the text and alignment options let you carefully position paragraphs to give the document a pleasant style.

All of the functions mentioned above can also be accessed from the format menu. However, the design leaves a little something to be desired, as no preview is available, elements only being displayed by their name.

When work is done, you can choose to export to file which can be of the application's specific format, RTF, TXT and even HTML. Moreover, documents can be printed from the application's interface for enhanced accessibility. Unfortunately, there is no implemented preview mode which is rather disturbing, seeing how pages are not separated nor counted.

In case your document gets too large, an integrated function gives you the possibility to quickly find desired words or phrases. An option searches for the last found item if you need to use it again.

Taking everything into consideration, we can say that LedIt is a simple and easy to use text editing application. It does not bring anything new on the block, but it serves its purpose good enough. Overall, it tends to get a little rough around the edges even though it is as straightforward as can get.
