PDF viewers and editors have come a long way since the inception of the format, and although most apps feature interchangeable tools, viewers doubling as editors, and the other way around, it’s always better to have a dedicated editor, with full capabilities, which can offer that extra edge in terms of versatility. LightPDF, as its name might suggest, is indeed compact, but surely not light on features, and it will provide users with a quite capable package for visualizing and editing PDF documents with ease.

The application features a classic design, which incorporates both tabs, as well as a ribbon, which are quite standard these days, meaning that those who come from a background of using Office-type apps, will have no trouble adapting.

Multiple files can be opened and edited simultaneously, which not only improves efficiency but also enables one to quickly borrow elements from one file to another, without having to rely on other, third-party apps to open the respective PDFs.

A quite ample collection of tools is provided in LightPDF, whose purpose and cumulated capabilities go far beyond the scope of a simple test. However, we really enjoyed the well-designed categorization of the said features, as well as the dedicated, on-screen controls.

We believe that both the standard, as well as the extra tools on offer, such as those addressing digital signatures, forms, or conversions, are sufficient to cater to the needs of both novice and, more advanced users.
