LinkChecker is a free and open-source command line tool that helps you check the health of a webpage by validating all its links. It's super handy for making sure your site is running smoothly!
This application takes a webpage URL as input. Once you give it a URL, it gets to work scanning that page for all kinds of elements that point to other URLs, images, files, and more.
After gathering all those links, LinkChecker sorts them into two categories: 'good' links and 'broken' links. If you're scanning hundreds of URLs at once, it can take some time. But don't worry! LinkChecker uses a thread pool to scan in parallel, which speeds things up.
When it's done, you'll get a nice HTML report with all the details about each URL along with other stats. It's pretty neat to see everything laid out clearly!
The best part? LinkChecker works on multiple platforms! Whether you're using Mac OS X, Windows, or Linux, this tool has got you covered.
