Description
Linx Kiss Server
Linx Kiss Server is a project that started as a personal project. I was having trouble getting any of the available Kiss Linux servers to work with my new Kiss DP-600 player like I wanted. So, I stumbled upon the kissd simple kiss daemon by Alexandre Becoulet. It's easy to read and understand, so I decided to tweak it a bit and add some cool features!
How Linx Kiss Server Works
Now, the Linx Kiss Server (LKS) works great with the Kiss DP-600, but I'm pretty sure it can also work with other Kiss players too. It’s designed to make your experience smoother and more enjoyable.
Key Features of Linx Kiss Server
Here are some key features of Linx Kiss Server:
- Makes selected directories accessible for your Kiss player.
- Can run as a daemon or in the foreground—your choice!
- Responds to queries from your PC-LINK server.
- You can disable UDP binding if you want—it won’t respond when the player looks for a PC-LINK server.
- You have the option to override the default server port.
What's New in This Release?
The latest update fixed a format string vulnerability problem, making Linx Kiss Server even more secure!
