LiSA is a cool macOS application that talks to you! Whenever you get a new email in your inbox, it announces it with a human voice. Pretty neat, right? And guess what? LiSA can also tell you who the email is from, like your brother or boss, thanks to the names stored in your Contacts app.

Email Notifications Made Fun

The moment a new email arrives, LiSA chimes in. All your received emails get saved in the app's menu bar window. You can check them out by clicking on a small circle icon. This handy window also lets you access all the settings and options you can configure.

Who Sent That Email?

As we mentioned earlier, LiSA announces the sender's name. It pulls this info from your Contacts app if you've added in details about who they are (like sister or lover) along with their email address and name. Just remember, for LiSA to do this, it needs your permission to use your Contacts.

Your Personal Voice Assistant

When you receive an email, LiSA reads out something like: "You have a message from [name]" or "You have a reply from your doctor." If you decide you don't want LiSA to read these names anymore, no worries! Just delete that relationship info from your Contacts app.

More Than Just Emails!

Besides announcing who emailed you, LiSA can also tell you the current time after it notifies you of new mail. Plus, if you're using multiple Mail accounts, you get to choose which ones LiSA checks right from its menu bar panel!
