Remembering all items you need to purchase when going shopping can be a pain, but it’s also frustrating when having to keep track of computer activities. However, organizing everything in simple lists can incredibly increase efficiency, and although not packed with an abundance of features, List Of Stuff is sure to come in handy.
The setup process doesn’t keep you busy for a lot of time, with the application showing up on screen as soon as the last step of the installer closes. Although modern Windows iterations come with .NET Framework in the default set of features, it’s a good idea to check whether or not it’s on your computer, because it’s required to ensure functionality.
There’s not much to look at, but this isn’t really the core factor here, and this overall simplicity in design helps both beginners and experienced individuals quickly get the hang of things. The window you work with is resizable, letting you expand it both horizontally and vertically to have as many elements in plain sight as you need. What’s more, most of the space represents the list itself, with only a compact area where you get to write down items you want to add to the list.
Sadly, items are not automatically numbered and are simply added on a row layout, but you can manually provide a number or letter for easy identification of items. Be careful when interacting with the list though, because a double-click operation removes the particular item without confirmation.
The application mostly comes in handy for simple tasks, which don’t require a lot of time to finish. This is mostly because of any possibility to save the list, which gets discarded on exit, and there isn’t even an option to export it to file for later processing.
All things considered, we can state that List Of Stuff is a practical application, but only if you know for certain that items on the list are gathered before you close the program or PC. With no possibility to save, it’s only a means of helping your memory so you don’t forget things to do in the near future.
