In this regard, Little Diary comes with a neat set of tools to help store ideas and plan out ahead in an intuitive workspace.

Note that the application is functional even though it doesn’t take you through a setup process, which means it can also be carried around on a thumb drive along with all your saved notes. However, you need to check whether or not the target PC is fitted with Java Runtime Environment because it’s a mandatory requirement for functionality.

The visual design is highly-intuitive, with neat textures used for buttons and all design panels. Everything you need is found in a single window to keep navigation simple and efficient. Some of the space is taken up by the month calendar, while a separate section is where all text goes.

Every day can have its own entry, and you can go ahead and leave notes in days to come as well. Sadly, there’s no built-in component with which to set up reminders, but you can mark days as special to have them highlighted in the calendar. Changes are saved on prompt whenever you leave the selected day.

Text edit operations make it possible to change the style, type, attributes, size, and color for selected portions of text. Everything is secured with a master password which prompts you every time the application is launched. Unfortunately, the only way to export bits of info is through the print function, because there’s no possibility to open or save text to file.

All things considered, Little Diary is a practical application which can be used for more than simply keeping all your ideas in order. Although there’s no option to configure alerts or process any existing files, portability, the visual design, and text edit operations are sure to make it worth your while.
