Description

Local Account Manager

Local Account Manager is a handy app for managing local users and groups. It’s especially useful because, by default, the Local Users and Groups MMC (Microsoft Management Console) snap-in is only found on Windows XP Professional.

Access Features on Windows XP Home

If you’re using Windows XP Home, you might notice that you can’t access the User Rights Assignment feature, which is part of the Security Policy interface. But don’t worry! With Local Account Manager, you can enable this snap-in and manage your accounts just like in Windows XP Professional. You’ll be able to add, modify, or delete users and groups easily!

User Management Made Easy

This software isn’t just about creating or deleting users; it’s super versatile! You can add users to groups, set privileges for both groups and individual users, and even allow or deny certain security tasks for any account. Plus, if you want a user’s password to never expire or need to temporarily disable an account, Local Account Manager has got you covered.

Password Control Features

If you ever forget a password and can't recover it, no worries! You can change any user's password through this app. You also have the option to require that a user changes their password at the next logon or even prevent them from changing their password in the future.

If you're looking for a way to handle user accounts effectively on Windows XP Home or Professional systems, check out Local Account Manager. It's an easy-to-use tool that makes managing local accounts simple!
