LS Optimizer
LS Optimizer is a super handy piece of software that helps you figure out different parameters for differential equations and other complex functions. Whether you're dealing with single or multiple parameters, this tool has got your back!
How It Works
This software uses the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, which is also called the Damped Least-Squares method. Basically, it can find the parameters of any differential equation (including the covariance matrix) as long as you provide a solver for that equation along with an experimental dataset.
Getting Started
If you're ready to dive in, all you need to do is download the app's installer, and follow the easy wizard steps. But hold on! Before launching the app, there's a little setup to do in the Optimization folder. Make sure you've got three important files together: "exp.txt" (this holds your experimental dataset), "LS Optimizer.exe," and "solver.exe." They all need to be in that folder.
Important Details
Your experimental dataset should have between 6 and 97 points, so keep that in mind! And don't forget that you'll have to provide your own solver. Creating one means tweaking a few lines of its source code. Once that's sorted out, you're all set to start optimizing! Just click on the File menu and select 'Determine Parameters: Optimize,' then fill in the data when prompted.
