Milling is something that humanity has already been accustomed to for a long time. Computerized milling under the CNC name or computerized numerical control is somewhat of a new thing. Not quite as old as humanity, since it is us that designed it. Regardless, operating one when compared to a manual system is much more difficult and requires a lot of training. Machining Simulation is all about that virtual training, and you'll soon be able to step into the real world and improve your milling techniques.

Well, as the name implies, it is a simulation. You'll get to interact with a cool 3D model, which ultimately even allows one to check the whole system hidden underneath. Check how the process unfolds, and be ready to step into the arena with a digital operational panel. Yes, you'll need to have covered the basics already, if you dream about being able to operate a real-life machine.

To me, it was surprising how much we've progressed in terms of safety and educational training when it comes to operating such dangerous yet time-saving machines. The simulation, as far as I was capable of telling, was indeed somewhat of an innovation, and its purpose was fulfilled only when young apprentices learned how to use the real thing. One thing is certain. It has great potential.

The word simulation remains key here. The idea is indeed to give an accurate image of the machine itself and also the computerized network which acts as a bridge between the machine and its user. Executing wrong commands will indeed lead to errors that would otherwise be transferred into real disasters. Doing this in a safe, simulated environment changes all that into an engaging experience but a safe one too at the same time.

Machining Simulation should be something standardized in all facilities making use of the CNC system, increasing productivity and safety at the same time.
