Getting around the main window of MacX YouTube Downloader is super simple. At the top, you have buttons for common tasks like adding URLs, clearing finished downloads, or removing everything. On the left side, there’s a handy list of all the links you're going to download, while the right side lets you preview what you're about to grab.

Customize Your Downloads

You can easily choose where your downloaded files go and pick the format you want—like MP4 or WebM. Plus, if you're an iTunes user, there’s an option to automatically add your MP4s there too!

Set Your Preferences

If you want more control, dive into the Preferences section. Here, you can set up your default file format (MP4, WebM, FLV, or 3GP) and select video resolutions ranging from 240P all the way up to 1080P.

Download in the Background

Once you've got your videos lined up for downloading, MacX YouTube Downloader works quietly in the background. It doesn’t need your attention at all! When it's done downloading everything on your list, it can even shut down automatically and open up your download folder.

No Interruptions While You Work

If you're worried about it interrupting your work flow, don't sweat it! There’s a speed limiter feature that helps keep things running smoothly without hogging all your bandwidth. Plus, you can set up proxies for extra privacy during downloads.

No Video Conversions Here

A quick note: while there are “Convert” buttons next to each video URL in MacX YouTube Downloader, this app doesn't actually convert videos by itself. Instead, it directs you to MacX Video Converter Pro, which is another paid software from them.
