Manager Portable

Manager Portable is a simple software program that provides users with a simple means of keeping track of their expenditures and incomings, access a balance sheet and generate a tax summary.

Since this is the portable edition of Manager, you are no longer required to go through the installation process. This means that the Windows registry and Start menu/screen are not going to be affected in any way and no remnants are going to be left behind after its removal from the HDD.

Most importantly, you can access Manager Portable from any computer you are granted access to, by simply placing the program files to an external data device, such as a USB pen drive.

Since this is a server-based tool, it means that you can actually work with it in your default web browser. It supports import from QIF, OFX, QFX and QBO electronic bank statements, while you can also manually input received and spent money.

It is possible to create invoices for customers, by inputting information such as date, trading name, contact data, organization (or person), billing address, pay instructions, products or services used and internal notes (not visible on invoice).

In addition to that, purchase invoices can be created, you can input and save multiple contacts, insert journal entries and create account reconciliation balances. Reports can be generated, such as aged payables and receivables, balance sheets, general ledger summaries, profit and loss statements and tax summaries.

From the settings pane, you can input taxes, along with code, rate, control account and notes (if necessary), select your country and add your name.

In conclusion, Manager Portable is a pretty efficient piece of software which enables you to manage your company, regardless of your whereabouts. The interface is intuitive, the response time is good and it does not hinder the system’s performance. Our tests did not register any freezes, hangs or bugs, yet it has not been updates in quite a while and some export capabilities would have done wonders.
