Mars Previewer II

Mars Previewer II will show users the visibility of Mars depending on their current location on Earth. The red planet observer is portable and can be stored on USB flash drives.

Most of the information relayed by the application to the user is basic. Date, current time, and time zones are all transmitted live, together with some extra celestial reference points. If the user is connected to the Internet, all these reference points are displayed in real time, similar to a simple GPS device.

The real-time display of Mars is presented in a separate panel where a 3D rendering of the red planet can be seen. Below it, you will notice data relating to your location versus Mars' location in the sky.

Most of the options that Mars Previewer II offers are limited to showing the meridian and angular size of the red planet for any date and time on Earth. To do this, the program uses MARS.BAS algorithm. System users will see every geographic detail about the position of Mars, with data like position of the central meridian, polar axis, and tilt of the planet compared to Earth's position.

However, amateur astronomers should know that Mars Previewer II is a 32-bit application only. If you happen to own a 64-bit version of Windows or any other 64-bit based operating system, then you must know that it won't be compatible with your computer.

It won't put pressure on your system's resources so you won't have to worry getting a powerful computer to run it.

Mars Previewer II is a nifty and lightweight app that helps astronomers quickly observe Mars' position in the sky.
