Description

MatEditor

MatEditor is a cool tool made especially for engineers and researchers! It helps you edit and manage materials by keeping all the important details and properties that come in handy during experiments and simulations. Plus, it supports a huge variety of unit systems, which means you can set up your own offline material database whenever you need.

Easy-to-Use Interface

The main window of MatEditor is super organized. You'll find everything laid out nicely, making it easy to keep track of things. On the left side, there's a list of available materials. And in the library section, you can quickly pick the type of material you want from the available options. One click gives you access to a range of materials like elastic and hyperelastic types, as well as non-linear, thermal, electromagnetic, core loss, and fluid materials.

Quick Access to Material Properties

If you want to see what properties a certain material has, just select it from the list and hit the "Import" button. You can also double-click on it to get the same result! This will bring up all sorts of entries about that material's properties.

Understanding Material Properties

Let's say you're checking out aluminum alloy. In MatEditor's main window, you'll see important properties like density, thermal expansion, isotropic elasticity, compressive strength, specific heat, resistivity, permeability, permittivity... and so much more! The table shows values for each property right there.

Logging New Values

You even have the option to log new values for any property on the right-side panel! When you do that, you'll notice that the property chart updates automatically. This means you'll get a visual representation of how a property changes during your experiment or simulation.

Create and Edit Material Data with Ease

MatEditor helps you create, edit, and generate material data for your analysis effortlessly! It also comes with features for hyperelastic material curve fitting. With support for multiple unit systems at your fingertips and the ability to store values for several properties at once—it's truly helpful!

If you're ready to check out MatEditor yourself or want to download it here, you'll be amazed at how easy it makes managing your materials!
