The Vocoder is a cool piece of software that analyzes input signals, mostly speech. But guess what? It can also work with other sounds too! So, how does it work? Well, first off, it has this special filter bank that performs spectral analysis. This means it looks at the different frequencies in the sound and figures out how much energy each one has.
Another neat feature of the Vocoder is its ability to identify whether sounds are voiced or unvoiced at any given moment. It can even extract the pitch from those voiced sounds! So if you’re working with music or speech, this tool really helps in shaping what you hear.
The output section of the Vocoder is just as interesting. It uses something called a stereophonic synthesis filter bank. This part takes all that info from the analysis stage and combines it with either an external signal or one generated inside the software itself to create new synthetic speech!
Important: If you're looking to try out a demo version, remember that you'll need an eLicenser copy protection dongle. Plus, don’t forget to give your email address here, so you can get your demo key!
