Description

ModbusTool

ModbusTool is a handy program that helps you check the communication between a master and slave device. It's super useful for spotting any issues that might pop up during this process.

What Can ModbusTool Do?

This tool makes it easy to share information through serial lines. You can test and tweak how this info gets exchanged in several ways. There are three modes available for managing communication: TCP, UDP, and RTU protocols. Just remember, these need to match between the master and slave devices!

Features of the Master Device

The master device has some cool features to efficiently read info from the slave. For example, it can read and write single or multiple coils for handling discrete values. Plus, similar functions are available for registers that show numerical values.

Viewing Read and Write Operations

You have different options to see those read and write operations in action. They can be displayed as LEDs for easier reading or shown as binary, hex, integer, or FloatReverse values. What's neat is you can change these settings separately on both the master and slave instances. So, you could have the master show binary numbers while the slave displays them as integers!

Saving and Importing Data

If you want to keep your data safe or bring in new data, you can easily export or import your work. This all happens in .csv format so you can check your saved values right in Excel.
