Being able to keep a close eye on your network or networks, if you’re working in larger, multi-scalar environments, can be a very advantageous asset to have. Such undertakings might involve also getting to know all the devices that might be connected to the said networks.

Determining the number, type, and characteristics of the connected devices can be very insightful, and the same goes for identifying their corresponding IPs. This is where discovery engines come into play, such as Monitorpack Discovery.

This application was designed specifically in order to provide users with the means to actively perform network monitoring for single or multiple LANs, in order to scan and identify all the available devices on the said networks. These can be routers, PCs, servers, cameras, smart sockets, and more, as long as they carry a corresponding IP.

In addition to discovering the available devices, the application will also perform a scan for available networks, be it that it’s cabled or wireless. Once the characteristics of the identified connected devices are changed or altered, the application will automatically update them.

Last but not least, the results of the discovery process can be saved and exported in Excel-compatible format, for further processing.
