What is My Location FOR MAC?

My Location

My Location is a handy little script for Adium that helps you figure out where you are based on your IP address. It shows your City, State, and Country in that order. Super simple, right?

What’s Cool About My Location?

This script is actually a modified version of another one called CurrentLocation, created by Evan Coleman (also known as fiftyfour123). So, you know it’s got some good background!

Different Location Types

My Location gives you four ways to see your location:

  • city: This shows just your current city. Use it like this: %_myloc{city}

  • state: This one displays only your state. Usage: %_myloc{state}

  • citystate: Want to see both? This does the trick! Usage: %_myloc{citystate}

  • all: This will show everything – city, state, and country. Usage: %_myloc{all}

How to Install My Location

If you're wondering how to get this cool script up and running, it's super easy! Just double-click the AdiumScripts file that's in the downloaded archive. After that, Adium will handle everything else for you.
