Name that iTune!

Name that iTune! is a super fun game to test how well you know your iTunes library. Just hit the “Play!” button, and you’ll get a bunch of questions about the title, artist, album, year, or composer of tracks from your iTunes collection.

How to Play

As the clock ticks down, so do your points and options. To answer, just press the button for the right answer related to the track that’s playing. The quicker you respond, the more points you can score! But watch out—if you guess wrong, Name that iTune! will take away points and time!

Your Library Matters

This game pulls all its questions straight from your iTunes library. So, if your track info is complete (like artist name, album title, year released), you’ll have an awesome time playing. If you see any typos or incorrect details about your songs, it means there’s something off in your library.

Getting Started

You can just go with the default settings and press “Play!” to jump right in. Or if you’re feeling fancy, customize your gameplay by tweaking some settings first. You can set how much time each question gets—just remember: tracks need to be at least as long as the timer you choose.

Create Custom Challenges

If you're up for a tougher round, try making a special playlist focused on classical music or any genre you love. For longer gameplay sessions, pick more questions from 10 up to 100!

Choosing Question Types

If you've done a good job keeping track of details in your iTunes library like release years and composers, include these in your question types for an extra challenge! Just remember: if many tracks lack year info, it’s better not to select that option.

Random Track Starts

You can uncheck “Play Tracks from Beginning” so tracks start randomly after 15 seconds in—great for songs with quiet intros! This way every game stays fresh.

No Penalties for Wrong Answers?

If you'd rather not lose points for incorrect guesses (which happens by default), just turn off “Penalize for Incorrect Answers.” While playing, feel free to hit “Pause” if you need a break—the game will wait for you until you're ready again!

Two Player Mode Fun

The Two Player Mode lets two people compete head-to-head in Name that iTune!. Just select “Two Players” before starting the game! Remember: players must use their keyboards instead of mouse clicks to answer questions.
