Description

Nano Lights

Nano Lights is all about those cool smart light devices! If you're into this tech, you've probably heard of Nanoleaf, which is a big name out there, especially when it comes to lighting, and they're known to rival Philips Hue.

Explore Nanoleaf Products

Nanoleaf has a bunch of exciting lighting options like the 4D, Elements, Shapes, Canvas, and Skylight. They also offer some classic stuff like smart light bulbs and light strips that make your space pop!

Control Your Lights Easily

You usually control these lights through a smartphone app. But here's the cool part: you can also manage them with a neat GNOME Shell extension called Nano Lights.

The Genius Behind Nano Lights

This handy tool was created by Václav Chlumský. He also made Hue Lights, another GNOME Shell extension that helps you control Philips Hue devices right from your desktop's top bar.

What Does Nano Lights Do?

According to its official GitHub page, Nano Lights is a "Gnome shell extension for controlling Nanoleaf shapes and possibly other Nanoleaf devices on the local network." Basically, it lets you turn your lights on or off directly from the GNOME top bar. You can also tweak the brightness and color settings or even set up different Scenes!

A Polished Look for Your Desktop

Even though it's small and simple, Nano Lights looks really nice on modern GNOME versions. It works great on most versions of GNOME too—starting from GNOME 45 and beyond!

How to Install Nano Lights

You can get Nano Lights straight from the EGO website. Or if you want a quicker method, use the Extension Manager app for an easy setup.

A Note for Users

I don't own any Nanoleaf products myself, so I haven't tried out everything this extension offers. But I think it could be super useful for anyone with Nanoleaf lights who wants to control their setup using Linux. And if you're looking to download it now, check it out here!
