Nautilus Facebook Uploader

Nautilus Facebook Uploader is a handy little script for Nautilus that makes sharing your photos on Facebook super easy! Just right-click on any picture or multiple pictures, and voilà—you can upload them to Facebook in no time!

What Can You Do with It?

This tool is pretty cool because it lets you:

• Post photos directly to your wall


• Upload your images to any existing album


• Create a brand-new album just for your uploads


• Delay an upload if you want to schedule it later

Oh, and guess what? I'm planning to add a feature soon that lets you set any picture as your profile picture. How awesome is that?

How to Install and Use Nautilus Facebook Uploader

If you're ready to get started, here’s how you can install it:

1. Download the .tar.gz file.


2. Extract the files into a folder.


3. Go to that folder.


4. Double-click on install.sh.


5. Select “run in terminal” when Nautilus prompts you.


6. Select a picture (or multiple pictures) and right-click.


7. Go to scripts >> Upload to Facebook.

Troubleshooting Authorization Issues

If authorization doesn’t work, meaning no browser opens up, don’t worry! If you're using Firefox, here’s how to fix it:

1. Download the tar.gz file again.


2. Double-click on Firefox_patch.py.

This should make everything work smoothly, but just keep in mind it will depend on Firefox. I only made this patch because the issue mostly pops up for users who have customized their Firefox settings heavily.
