The application doesn't take long to install and it doesn't come with a complicated setup that you would need to complete before you can actually use it. NeSSi2 sports a really intuitive graphical interface, with plenty of tools at hand and some settings that you can adjust to meet your preferences.

The first thing that you need to do after launching the application is to create a new project. You can work on energy, IP network, profile, scenario and simulation.

All of the projects, folders and files that you create with the Workbench are stored as normal directories and files on the machine. This allows the use of other tools when working with the files.

Using drag and drop or copy/paste to import files relies on operating system support that is not necessarily available on all platforms. If the platform you are using does not have this support, you can always use the Import wizard. There's the option to access multiple subnets inside projects and edit them.

It comes with multiple settings that you can adjust, like the option to change text file encoding and pick a new text file line delimiter. You can also configure the builders for the project, adjust project references and check the defactoring history.

You can perform a network simulation to check events, statistics, progress, actions and more.
