NetSpeedy

NetSpeedy is a handy app for Mac OS X that helps you quickly check your internet connection speed. It shows you the download and upload stats, plus some other cool info in a neat and user-friendly way.

Easy to Use Interface

The interface of NetSpeedy follows Apple’s OS X Human Interface Guidelines, making it fit right in with your system. When you run a network check, you’ll see a fun animation each time!

Customization Options

While there aren't tons of customization choices, you do get to pick between two color schemes: purple or dark. Simple but stylish!

Notification Features

NetSpeedy also works with the Notifications Center, sending alerts whenever a check is done. These messages include details about your download and upload speeds, shown in megabits per second (Mb/s).

Connection Details

This app gives you information about your public IP address, the Internet Service Provider (ISP) you're using, and even the city where the server is located.

Getting Started

You just hit the Start button at the bottom of the main window, and NetSpeedy will start checking your internet connection. Remember that it won’t run checks on its own; you have to kick things off manually!

Share Your Results

Once your results are ready, NetSpeedy lets you share them with friends on Facebook as an image! You can also send it via email or upload it to your Flickr account—pretty cool options!

Simplicity at Its Best

Even though NetSpeedy doesn’t have a super complex design or tons of features, it does what it needs to do: giving you quick access to details about your internet connection speed, ISP info, and public IP address with just a click of your mouse.
