Description

NetStat Agent

NetStat Agent is a cool software tool that helps you keep an eye on your network connections. It’s packed with features that let you track down any sketchy processes or services. Plus, it helps cut down the chances of getting trojan infections, which is super important!

Understanding the Interface

The program can seem a bit tricky at first because its interface has lots of tabs and sections to explore. But if you've got some experience, you’ll probably find it well-organized.

Connections Tab

The main window shows the ‘Connections’ tab. Here, you can see all the processes running on your system along with details like protocol, local and remote addresses, and their current status. In the ‘Monitor’ section, you can set actions for any process—like highlighting or closing it depending on what’s happening.

Diving into Details

If you click on an entry in the ‘Connections’ table, NetStat Agent will show detailed properties below. You can 'Ping', 'Trace', or do a 'Whois' lookup on that address. There’s also an option to ‘Terminate’ the process or search online for more info.

Statistics and Configuration

The ‘Statistics’ section gives you access to a list of TCP, UDP, IP, or ICMP connections. Then there's the ‘IP Config’ tab where you can check out details about your network setup—like information about your adapters, interface settings, and even DNS Cache! You can flush that cache with just one click!

Additional Features

The ‘Arp’ feature lets you view and manage entries in your Address Resolution Protocol cache. With the ‘Whois’ component, you'll get data about any IP address or domain you're curious about. The handy 'HTTP Checker' monitors websites to see if they’re reachable from your end. Other useful tools include 'DNS Query', 'IP Routes', 'Ping', and 'Tracer’—all adding to what this app can do.

Conclusion: Stay in Control

In short, NetStat Agent is quite a powerful utility with tons of features designed to help you manage your network connections effectively. You can set rules for different entries and decide which processes should run or not!
