Network Quality Monitor

Whether you are an experienced network administrator or a regular computer user, monitoring your network speed might be something you are interested in. Connection interruptions might betray an issue that needs your immediate attention.

Network Quality Monitor delivers a simple Store app for Windows that helps you keep an eye on the network quality and report on potential issues, so that you can act immediately.

Network Quality Monitor is quickly installed from the Windows Store, so no standard installer is available. Once launched, it places an icon in the system tray area and reveals a small floating window on the desktop. A real-time visual representation of the network speed is displayed, allowing you to keep a close eye on the connection quality and spot inconsistencies.

Monitoring the connection quality in real time allows you to take the proper actions to reduce downtime.

Migrate to the “Configuration” tab to tamper with the application’s settings. You are free to customize the time interval for checking the network connection speed, which, by default, is set to one second.

The URL for checking the connection quality can also be changed and so can the threshold level for getting notifications from Network Quality Monitor. In other words, you can configure the duration of getting a response by pinging the target URL and thus classify the connection quality as excellent, good, or bad.

Instead of running the “ping” command in the Windows console, you can use Network Quality Monitor, which helps you monitor the connection quality much easier. The application can notify you in case of frequent connection interruptions, so that you can investigate the source of the problem.
