Never Read is a super simple OS X app that helps you keep your Pocket unread list nice and tidy. It quickly clears out those unread items that you haven't saved or liked, which have been sitting there past a time frame you set.

Easy Cleanup with Never Read

The cool thing about Never Read is that it hangs out in your status bar. You can start the cleanup process without any hassle through its menu. Just make sure to check out the Preferences window first and set it up how you like!

Setting Up Your Pocket Account

When you're in the Never Read Preferences, you'll need to log into your Pocket account. This will send you to your default web browser where you can enter your details and allow Never Read to manage your Pocket stuff.

Revoking Access Anytime

If you change your mind later, no worries! You can easily revoke access anytime by heading over to Pocket's account Options panel. Just look under the Connected Services & Apps tab and you'll see Never Read listed as one of the 3rd Party Applications.

Selecting Articles for Deletion

In the Preferences window, you get to choose what articles to remove. The app will delete entries older than however many days you decide on. It's pretty straightforward!

Caution: No Undo!

A quick heads-up: when Never Read deletes bookmarks, they're gone for good! There's no way to get them back once they're removed. But don’t worry—it won’t touch your favorite or archived articles, so anything you really care about stays put.
