If you are working with a broad range of windows on your desktop, you probably need an easy way to minimize or restore all of them simultaneously. Although you can use Windows' Show Desktop native function for the same effect, you might probably consider using third-party apps such as OneClick Hide Window, as it provides you with a few additional functions.
OneClick Hide Window can help you hide all the active windows on your desktop by simply using your left and right mouse buttons simultaneously. It saves you the hassle of manually clicking the "Minimize" button on all the windows you want to hide.
More so, you can restore them by using the same button combination. The same effect can be achieved by clicking the "Show Desktop" button that you can usually find on the taskbar, or by pressing the "Win + D" key combination on your keyboard.
Aside from its core functions described above, this application also packs a few auxiliary ones that make it stand above Windows' native "Show Desktop" utility.
From the main screen of OneClick Hide Window, which is quite subtle and doesn't take up too much space on your desktop, you can choose to hide the desktop, taskbar or close the currently opened window. Please note that during our testing on Windows 10, toggling the "Hide Desktop" option rendered us unable to restore it by using the left-click + right-click technique.
Another trait that makes this application adequate concerning subtlety is the fact that it minimizes to tray whenever you hit the "Close" button so that it does not interfere with your other active windows much.
Its interface is pretty simple and the controls it encompasses can be used by a wide variety of users, regardless of their computer skills or previous experience with similar programs.
To wrap it up, OneClick Hide Window is a handy program that can minimize all of your active windows and restore them as quickly as clicking both of your mouse buttons. It comes with a simple interface that packs intuitive controls and minimizes itself to the tray, making it suitable for slower machines, as well. Unfortunately, it seems that on newer systems it can trigger some problems when toggling the "Hide Desktop too" option.
